Excellent surroundings very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble
Food was excellent, service was excellent,we will stay there again Atmosphereic Reception Rooms, Full of old world charm, A hidden gem, looking forward to staying there again soon.
Miskin manor is like going to stay with friends. The welcome is always warm and the service impeccable. The comfortable big leather chairs and the fresh flowers only add to the overall ambiance. A secret haven just a few miles from the city. Gorgeous
Restaurant very good and hotel is in very quiet setting
Some rooms have very dated decor, showers not great, cobwebs still visible
The lady on reception was so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
The hotel is set in such beautiful grounds but it's such a shame that you can always hear the flow of m4 traffic!
hospitable majestic manor hall - shame about motorway noise - but gardens stunning and staff very warm and welcoming. lovely leisure centre.
road traffic noisy
This hotel is well located and has excellent staff. I particulary enjoyed dinner where the choice was good, the food excellent and good value with the table d'hote menu. The room was spacious and well decorated. Breakfast was again excellent with great choice from the usual to the addition of Welsh favourites like lava bread..
We attended our niece's wedding and all the arrangements were spot-on. Staff were helpful and courteous.
The meal left a little to be desired and the drinks prices were a bit 'toppy.'
The grounds. The gardeners do a great job and the hotel cat followed us around on our walk. Very pleasant. Staff very friendly.
Being shunted into a separate room from other guests for breakfast on first morning. Mrs Swan's The bacon was burnt and sausage dry. I asked prior to my stay for a vegetarian breakfast and no effort had been made to accommodate me. We stayed at a small guest house in Filey last autumn which offered three different types of vegetarian sausage.Miskin could not manage one. I asked for mushrooms and tomatoes on toast and received one small triangle of toast with the top pithy half of a tomato on it and a small triangle of toast with half dozen mushrooms on it. Poor.
Beautiful location and outstanding service. If you like peace and quiet and excellent food then this is the place to stay.
The gardens and hotel were impressive. Located next to a trunk road it was easy to get to local features. The convenience of the countryside and near to Cardiff.
A lack of attention to detail. At this level you expect to not even notice the little things. When you do they become irritating.
We had a beautiful four poster room with lovely views. The health and leisure facilities were fine and the staff were very helpful
We choose not to dine in their restaurant and asked the receptionist to recommend somewhere but she wasn't able to do this and wasn't particularly friendly, which was a bit disappointing, but we found somewhere lovely never the less
Very attractive seting and building both inside and out.
No negative comment.
the hotel room decor, the reception staff and the hot breakfast were great
The lesiure facilities and also the full cooked breakfast which was excellent.
